CRCNS 2017

The 2017 CRCNS (Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience, http://nsf.gov/crcns) PI Meeting took place June 14-16, 2017 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.  The main meeting was presented over the first two full days while the third day was reserved for an optional workshop on Integrating Dynamics and Statistics in Neuroscience.

The CRCNS program is managed by a consortium of research funders in the US (NSF and NIH), France (ANR), Germany (BMBF) and Israel (BSF).  The annual PI meetings bring together principal investigators from grants funded under the CRCNS program to discuss research progress and the future directions of the field.

This year’s CRCNS PI meeting was hosted by Brown University, the Brown Institute for Brain Science (BIBS) and the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM).

As in previous years, the meeting enabled PIs to report on progress to their peers and program officers, and to provide an opportunity for discussions related to current research issues, opportunities, and other broader impact issues.

With our many thanks to this year’s generous supporters and all those who have joined us in Providence, we look forward to another great meeting in 2018!
